Motives by SHENVA

MOTIVES Deftly driven by desire or need, or goad on by ghastly greed, mighty motive the decision makes, pointing to the path one takes. The brave warrior waging action, bold medals are a faction. Wooers proposing on bended knee, lifelong happiness their plea. The emoting actor gives his all,for applause at curtain call. Beware the one who performs the task wearing a smile and a mask. Robbers and thieves prowling night and day, someone's property their prey. Motives, the reasons all deeds are done, under the moon and the sun..

Motives by Linsey Taylor

Motives- Complex objects…for effect avarice pretext protests progress paychecks, protect, neglect, resurrect rednecks rubbernecks, get sex, shipwrecks. Titanic torque to New York get there sooner for more lucre same ole story grabbin at glory. Gold ring motive too explosive, colossal crash don’t get no cash, not your time, never not mine. Marchin makin mayors take note they gotta deliver or don’t get no vote. Misdirected motives, great mistake, sometimes just on the take. Penicillin cop bacteria shot by meanderin mold, still no cure for common cold. Science sharin not the pact, competin, cheatin (?) holdin back so some corporation gets more whack. While Starbucks (allegedly) avoidin tax. Creep eyed greed gettin more and more stomp small ventures through the floor, jackboots brute em out the door. Hormones, make ya bones motives more unplanned- pinned down, pent up, pay packet in hand spawn fights Sat’day nights and dudevorce, rednecks makin hay, out in force, chicks in the mix dudin and broodin, don’t want their night endin in losin. Rubberneck punter on the take falls in some shark chick’s wake, hotness hypnosis she overlooks flaws for chance to get him in her jaws. Next day dawn, drinkin done, frettin, regrettin, retract attack, senses back, smokin motives all but gone, mostly just movin on....

Motive by Justine

Motive Her motives weren’t ordinary Neither objective. They had more of a full moon momentum No moral militia She wanted to throw caution to the upredicatability Of intent The motion in motive Often compelled her Rattling snake like, Just below the bones A visceral rumble Times, it was silently persistent Like thoughts Elaborate in its appetite, With all her good intent Emotional hysteria often loomed Or psychological inertia She needed Ferocious abandon An Avant-garde intent Passion Desire Love These though proved difficult to attain Instead She often curled foetus like In a peace ball But if you listened closely You could still here the rumble The rattle of her motive © Justine McLaughlin 2013

TRUST by Jason

TRUST BY JASON He dived in before me Was he a God? Was he my Guide? And he began swimming In the deep strong waving lake I walked to the edge I was frightened as I looked at the unknown lake Thinking of sharks waiting Of the lake waiting to Swallow me whole I dived in and started to swim You seeee, I trusted him My guide who was front crawling with vigour And when I looked back I saw the tiny island I used To live on

TRUST by Pietro Fiorentini

Ode to trust A resounding voice in our head that tells us not to doubt A silver lining of what's life about Trust trust, Betrayed you were! Pulling yourself in the land of nowhere You did just Yet you feel vulnerable The warmth of trust has now faded away And all you have are your empty hands Now you feel like a ship With no sea underneath And you are left With just a breeze But as the sun arises The earth rumbles Nature shines With all it's power and with all it's might! There she comes! A smiling face Like a Phoenix Fire burns in me Trust trust, What a beautiful feeling Like a bird flying next to that same ship with no sea underneath it. Rock n'roll, Pietro Fiorentini

TRUST by Linsey Taylor

Trust Is Trust reliance on someone’s word Triggered by what appears to occur Is it deep down instinct at first glance or long time coming, not on chance ? What is it, what does Trust really mean? It’s not the same when you’re seventeen When you’re young, friendships are sealed Like none when you’re older, holding a shield Is Trust faith rather that what you know? Does Trust diminish as knowledge grows? Do you Trust what scientists say parallel universes, evolution? or do you pray for absolution? Do you Trust somewhere there’s a better place Is it in other dimensions or outer space? Do you Trust we’re here now on this earth? Or is it instead techno rebirth- As some physicists diagnose we’re in 2 D, in the cosmos It’s only light from there to here in 3 dimensions we appear and perceive we’re here on this rock instead we’re in some far flat spot, 3 D on earth- only a scam Instead it’s all a hologram So many versions, a whole array Do those cause Trust to go astray in this ‘Age of Knowledge’ or so they say ? Does Trust come easier when you don’t over think ? Does that make you more in sync with traditional Trust -have faith, don’t ask why you’ll have the answers in the sweet by and by Is it still human nature or against the grain to Trust, have faith that we’ll live again? To Trust fellow travellers through this earth in times of so much to disconcert? Are we in a world where Trust is a weakness Preyed upon by those rapacious and ruthless Taken down like a Serengeti wildebeest less able than others to stand on its feet ? Is Trust in fact a two edged sword One side can protect us, the other can gore unless we know who, when, where, how to Trust have instinct, fate, knowledge not to combust? Was Trust imbedded in our genes to bind families, communities, teams in an early world to help us survive improve all our lives, meeting our needs Is Trust key for humanity to succeed? If it is, who takes heed? "); Trust Is Trust reliance on someone’s word Triggered by what appears to occur Is it deep down instinct at first glance or long time coming, not on chance ? TRUST by Sherva

TRUST TRUST, THE BEST GIFT TO GIVE OR TO GET. FREEDOM TO CONFIDE WITHOUT REGRET. SECRETS ARE SAFE, THEY ARE GUARDED WELL. WITH A PROPER PROMISE NOT TO TELL. BLESSED YOU ARE, IF YOU HAVE A TRUE FRIEND. UNHESITATING TO DEFEND. TRUST IS FRAGILE, CAN BE BROKEN REDUCING IT TO A MERE TOKEN. EXPECT THE BEST, PREPARE FOR THE OTHER. TEMPORARY SUBSTITUTE, YOUR MOTHER.

TRUST by Maddy

Trust TRUST When one utters I trust you Or do you trust me? An invisible cord forms An agreement is established That binds two souls at the Heart The cord stays intact creating Pain if the agreement is not kept When you realize the concept Attached to the word trust Used in the context above The unnecessary expectations Imposed upon Another It would be wise not to utter No one is perfect and we live In a complex universe Where chaos and structure co-exist

If

If If you can keep your head when all about you Are losing theirs and blaming it on you; If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you, But make allowance for their doubting too: If you can wait and not be tired by waiting, Or, being lied about, don't deal in lies, Or being hated don't give way to hating, And yet don't look too good, nor talk too wise; If you can dream - and not make dreams your master; If you can think - and not make thoughts your aim, If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster And treat those two impostors just the same:. If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools, Or watch the things you gave your life to, broken, And stoop and build'em up with worn-out tools; If you can make one heap of all your winnings And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss, And lose, and start again at your beginnings, And never breathe a word about your loss: If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew To serve your turn long after they are gone, And so hold on when there is nothing in you Except the Will which says to them: "Hold on!" If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue, Or walk with Kings - nor lose the common touch, If neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you, If all men count with you, but none too much: If you can fill the unforgiving minute With sixty seconds' worth of distance run, Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it, And - which is more - you'll be a Man, my son!

Martin Kennedy "Mirror" (second)

reflecting back a knew light engaged
in sight seeing thy soul fly in mists
window so high.

new world the story in portrait shape
looking back looking in at the reflecting
king.

colours of this rainbow a wash with gold
shining eyes peering out sing and shout
for the untamed mirror clearer now
for it sees summers sun cleaning
house.

Mirror by Justine

You’re My Mirror

Telling lies, that I’m okay
No conscience
Exact, I think,
Always reflective
Of the outside
Only in segments
Portions,
In Stages 123
Unless in full length

The cracked mirrors
More revealing
More accurate
Maybe,
Like a rippled lake
Trying to show
More depth

Mirrored,
No warmth,
Cold and hard
You’re shallow, flat
A copycat

You stare at
Off white walls
Magnolia,
Chip wood
And doors
All sorts
Hallways and stairs

Sometimes you catch me
In passing
In reflection
I see you,
I smile and
You smile back
I cry and
You reply
Simultaneously,
With tears

I bleed and
You copy
I laugh, but its
Not funny
I’m only laughing
on the outside
But you don’t know that
Cos your
Only a mirror

You don’t have ears
But you hear everything,
You’re not nosey
Just very aware,
One-dimensional.
You take the stance
Of face value

Cold,
Smooth,
You have
No other option,
You don’t smell
Or record
You’re just a voyeur

Your taste is of
The moment
The seconds
The minute

No record
No memory
Only the present
No worries

But you have
Something special
Like a cat,
You can see
In the dark

Mirror By Martin Kennedy

reflecting back images of chance
enhancing light space and view
looking through windows blue glass

seeing two glancing new
flying flight dancing through reflection
within the sand crystal clue cosmic
glue climb on through to the next space

spying eyes shooting skys light
taking flight seeing a refective view
its breaking in opening thy door to
next worlds. a shore line of skipping rainbows
souls die and joy of living again so romancing

oh fires joyous toy sitting up on a wall
saying i'm the prettiest of them all
call an' see me reflected on thy waterfall
renewing yesterdays call.
