Transition by Anissa

Transition

Not happy in my own skin
From innocent child to awkward teen
I stand in the mirror not liking what I see
How I long to rid myself of insecurity
Somebody help me please?
I remove my clothes they drop to the floor
As the artist begins to draw
The arch of my back
The curve of my breast
I am shaking from nerves
My heart beats in my chest
Soon I start to relax
Sacrificing myself in the name of art

As time goes on I start thinking differently
Growing in spirit and mind
I ask myself this how can you love another
When you don’t love yourself?
I used to be nervous of my body
The scars on my legs
A map of my past
Now when I see my reflection
I smile instead
A sign of inner strength
A wise man once said

What have I learnt on my journey of self discovery?
The difficulties life has thrown at me?
Not to worry it’s wasteful and useless in times like these
Don’t live in fear of the unknown
Know your worth there lies the key
And failure that comes to us all
But we can rise from the ashes once more
To be reborn and see ourselves in a different light
I no longer care what others think
Ladies and gentleman my transition is complete

Unrequited Love by Erato

I fell in love …
With Unrequited Love
I am afraid because the day I’ll get tired of him I’ll truly fall in love
Big trouble
Once a wise man told me a Spanish proverb on unrequited love
That stated what follows: it is the most beautiful pure ever lasting one
Because it never scrubs itself to cruel reality. Indeed it sits on a soft fantasy.
It never dies, remains undamaged, unsullied. Whole and Holy.
No disillusion. One to one conversation.
Perfect. No surprise. “La bĂȘtise, c’est d’ĂȘtre surpris”
Unrequited love reveals the quest of an ideal:
The dance between sun and moon
They never encounter but in a way live together
And form the harmonious union:
Love me love me not
Je t’aime…Moi non plus.
The day the one I think I love unrequitedly will love me back
Big trouble. Big surprise.
That day I will agree that two can make one
That day I will grow up and be able to face
That day I will open myself to risks
Burning my wings
Of sorrow dying
That day I’ll give and accept the giving
Back.
Full circle. Like a ring.

Unrequited Love by Dany Teller

Unending love
A change of season, a change of scenery, and a change of color I am devoted to you.
Am devoted to being printed and so I can read out aloud to praise the lord.
For I am full of love and devoted to transition and to relentless passion.
As I dream I am in a world of wonderland, my love is remitting for a world of vision and make believe.
Give me a place to be on a white cloud where I can eternally be at peace.
As I speak I lay on my cloud its slivery for I am the lord our god the one and only.
Fill me with unending love, fill me a place for transition and fill me with celestial kindness.
As a poet I love to pray and dream my life away, I am full of surprise and fantasy so please share it with me until kingdom come.
From transition to unending love allow me to spread the word of love to the world allow me to be at peace in the life of unison and vanity.

Unrequited Love by Maddy

Unrequited Love

Unrequited love??
No such thing exists...
This is like saying there is no white dove.
No Sun that dances,
Or no Moon that perfectly winks.

Love is Free
A gift from above.
For all living things to have in abundance thereoff.
Only a foolish mind would think this way,
In no way is this meant as a judgement,
only an observation.

Try not to live in the Illusion,
of means, to be or not to be's,
Measuring things in decrees,
judging outcomes and experiences,

Let it be, let it be
Love is FREE
