Dream by Annette C
When I was young-about 9 or 10
I watched the men on the TV
Who spoke so twee, about money and MPs
I knew then what I wanted to be
The years eased in; the forms filled in
The referees asked, their titled names-
In letters large and small. The ones I sought
After being taught, that respect was
Neither won nor gained
Without those letters on your name.
Nice house, good car-markers of success
“You’ll go far,” they said
Whilst sneering at John from down the estate
And later, a prayer before lunch-time break
“For Children in Africa-a Christian sake”
And yet had I really listened to
Their Christian talk; “better your background”
I’ve have learned that the world
Was largely planned; we were actors
In a script already writ
As Johnny would say without shame.
And yet we all had our dreams
When we were young and watched TV
Of Worlds so far apart;Of people we wanted to be.

Dream by Sean
We dared to Dream
Poets Window is the gateway to
The Stream
Of consciousness
We float down stream embracing
Our magical, mysterious dream - unfolding
Surprise - delight - excitement
as the stream becomes a river becomes an ocean
Mountains will be moved
Oceans will part
The Dream will be fulfilled
And each Dream shall be rounded with a sleep.

Dream by Tim Rudall
Now veering between highways and cotton-wool D-roads
A near miss that - phew – honk your bell at the culprit
One broad field ahead, floating, snooze-control…Oh Shit!
What’s this? Hello Pete! Been a while, how’s your dog?
Those shoes were once lost. Now they’re back…and they’re pink
I’ll try them if I can see past my knees through the fog.
A crack somewhere. Or the radiator behind my bed.
One stage of lucidity, then I’m dozing anew
Now I’ve gained some control let’s be off again. Round two.

Dream by Aaron Flyn
The sharp and scarlet fence droops,
and its sign
proclaims, in dire letters, a warning to all
who would seek to climb
and clamber
into the ragged
fields beyond
where the disem-
bodied
heads of youngsters peer above
sallow grass, their screams echo
through the twilit air. A sour breathy breeze
stirs the pollen from the grass,
and on the sharp and scarlet fence
that nobody should pass
its sign which reads
SHADOWERS EXPECT DYING

A new Chapter
Men of Colour
Theres a man to follow
For change with a breeze
That will bring tomorrow
A lot will be gained
And lost along the way
For a new America
And its people
A new generation
Dawn of a new day

Dream by Ambrose
by Ambrose Nzeyimana
Out of space standing
Out of time evolving
Out of mind drifting
Travelling
Exploring
Dreaming still
Yes alive while breathing
Out of prisons taken
Out of body running away
Out in nowhere ending
Hoping the impossible
Thinking of the occurrence
Doing the unthinkable
Addressing adversity
Out of actuality
New world navigating
Beginning customisation
Achieving unexpectedly
Challenging known beliefs
Passing on the flag
Dreaming of life
Living at last
Dreaming while living
Living the dream
As a way of life
A person who cannot dream is dead. If someone took away your ability to dream, this would be the cruelest attempt to your life. Dreaming is about our imagination navigating consciously or unconsciously in the known and/or unknown/ mysterious world.

Dream by Jenni Fagan
Once Again
My teeth fell out.
My heart ran
screaming,
for the hills.
A notion wisped by.
I grabbed on,
wrung it
into a skyscraper,
I threw myself
from the battlements
only to find,
that I
can fly.

Dream by Fassbinder
And while you slept -
I climbed the mountains
Sailed the seas
Without any family
With relative ease
Achieved the grades
Earned the money
Never failed
To find life funny
Ended famine
… Third World debt
Invented health chocolate
And the Green Jumbo Jet
Saved the whale/
Endangered Meer cat
Worked out Boehms Theory
On the back of a beer mat
Became a Lad’s lad
And a perfect gent
Gave up sinning
For more than lent
Bigged you up
Enhanced your status
Mastered ‘Happy Birthday’
On a cazoo, with flatus
Said sorry for neglect
When I meant to help
Improved your physical
And mental health .
Made our drug of choice
Five portions of fruit
In the space of 10 minutes
Got the world to follow suit
And then I awoke
While you kept sleeping.

Dream by justine mclaughlin
I dreamt
I was sleeping
I dreamt I was
Dreaming
Dreaming of a fox
But it was real
Real I tell you
Pacing in circles
In the space
In the front of my bed
Pacing
Circling
Pacing
Circling
Till it sat
Back facing me
Upright
Proud
Guarding me
Calm
I lay still as a corpse
Holding breath
Did he see me?
Could he smell the fear?
An eye movement later
He was snaring
At something next to me
Making ravaged sounds
He was hungry
Or angry
Nestling his snout
Violently
Into the pillow
Next to me
His tail brushed over
My hair
He’d found mew
Will I die?
I looked up
Time 4 AM

Dream by Christina
My eyes shut, a deep breath,
I took a plunge, a header one
"so brave", I exclamed to myself.
"keep going", I thought
and my breath lasted indeed...
But now, back in the surface again.
The dream is over.
Ready for another deep breath!?

Dream by Gem
Standing in her red ball gown,
She watches the others,
Like delicate flowers they move and swirling,
As though they were connected to each other,
The hate and anger builds,
She remembers the love they had,
The pain and passion they had,
The memories of how they moved together,
Swirling, twisting.
-
The music telling them were to go,
But now she is there alone,
The music is so sweet and tender,
The flowers move to it, swaying,
She stands in the corner alone,
The door opens!
-
A dark, shadowed figure floats towards her,
Moving together under the stars,
The music tells them what to do,
Together, Swirling, flowing together,
As though one creature, together,
The flowers part as the rose enters,
Twisted and entwined in each other,
A rose among a garden of flowers,
She has him back!
-
Forever! Together! Under the moon and stars,
Their love will never end,
She hopes this night will stay forever,
She prays time will stop,
As she knows when the music ends,
She will be alone again,
In the corner,
A rose without a garden,
-
It ends and she is alone,
And only left with memories,
Memories of long ago,
Memories of love and passion,
Memories of together

Dream by Erato
A naive house, an orange lover, a gentle sun beam
A wild garden, a wide open window
A spacious bathroom, a whispering willow
And making cheese cakes for the local market on Sunday
In the nearest small city suspended on a valley.
I got ya! I’m joking.
………………………………
Not really
My dream tastes a bit of reality

The Journey by Asil
The sun rose over the red city
The market stallers made their way to their place of residence - the souq
The travellers embarked on what would seem like another episode in their journey
The city became a sea of colours, until all became green and blue
The road seemed neverending, mystical
The travellers weaved through the mountains, taking narrow turns at heart racing speeds, feeling almost like they were flying
The dream cut short
The colours hazed into one as the car spun and rolled in the air
The car froze
The world paused
The traveller's minds turning into a state of half dead half alive, carried on to what could only be described and thought of as heaven
Heaven was shaped as a thundering waterfall in a vast evergreen
If heaven could be a place on earth - it would be this
Dream by Danny Teller
Into a dream we go first and foremost
In the dead of night I have begun a dream. In the dead of night I have begun a dream; my body is peaceful again upon a bed of green grass.
I am in a field of beautiful trees and flowers and birds and bees. I am in a peace of a dream of clouds over green and pleasant pastures. The grass is so cool and fresh and so alive it becomes like a magic carpet of velvet to walk in a dream of peace. My dream in the dead of night has left me in a field of tranquillity and there is no such thing as time.
In my dream I go in peace for ever, there is no beginning and there is certainly no end. The nature around me is plentiful, only one thing is told not to eat the fruit of knowledge. The fruit of my dream of nutritious and glorious mind will never go hungry as long as I stay away from that tree my dream will last for ever.
A long restful night, suddenly the sun rises above the horizon the sun rays lighten up the place to a brilliant prism of life and radiating colours. A long restful night and suddenly the sun lightens up the place to a brilliant life. My dream turns over in a loop and leap, my head turns over and my eyes flutter open. I thought the dream of piece of peace thus I had eaten from the tree of life and I am no longer famished for my dream has replenished the body of life. My body turns and churns and chews to sheer delight oh my goodness was that all a dream.

Dream by Paula Greene
In my dream
I see you I touch you
I hold you close
You comfort me
You make it all seem right
You chase away my demons
And you bring out the woman in me
She was always there
but laying dormant
neglected for many a year
Waiting for you
crying out for you
Don’t leave my dream
don’t leave my world
I cannot exist without you
you make my life complete
And when I awake
I realise you were here
gone from my dream
but still in my mind
and the strength and belief that you gave me
protects me from my world
and for that I am
forever grateful….

Dream by Vidmante
stuck in the sky
in the triangle
of the dreamed birds
on your chest
my head
aiming
for a lullaby
in the luminous light
of the full moon
there are no limits
for my fantasies
Slain desires
The summer dreams
Slowly decaying…
with the autumn leaves
